South of Lake Como are several small lakes that dot the flatter terrain and rolling hills of the Brianza region. After riding from Bellagio south along the lakeside road to Lecco, you will meander by Lake Annone and Lake Pusiano, observing the differences between this region and its higher mountains and deeper cut lake to the north. Locals enjoy strolling with children and fishing in these quiet lakes. A gradual climb out of this region will take you to Lake Segrino at the entrance to the mountainous Triangolo Lariano. Then it is a gradual climb up to the Ghisallo and the descent home.
This ride is perfect for: Those looking for a gentle tour without big climbs, and to discover the Brianza region that has a different flavor than Lake Como.
